If you’ve been thinking about selling or renting your home out and then buying an RV, do your research before you speak with an RV salesperson. At first, the options may seem staggering and confusing, but it really boils down to the right fit and logic. Outside influence can confuse and hurt, if you are new to the dream of the flexible RV wanderlust retirement. If you’ve done your research, you’ll ‘smell the sell’ long before you’re over your head in RV techie stuff.

As romantic as it really is, life will still go on, e.g., accidents, bills, sickness, arguments, etc. Read about your dream in the myriad forums, blogs, articles and such. Rest assured, there’s much good advice, but you’ll also find a few quacks as well. Separate the meat from the bones and take notes. You’ll see a trend in a volume of articles, not in the 1st few you read.

Opinion #1: I don’t care what anyone says, or how much money you may have, unless you separate yourself from all the ‘STUFF’ in you life, you’ll never really enjoy any vacation, including an RV retirement plan. STUFF: Silly Things Usually Frequently Forgotten. Things that control your living style and prevent total freedom. Unless you have many surplus thousands of dollars to throw away, (you probably wouldn’t be reading this Blog, if you did) spare yourself the agony and buy a timeshare, for 1 week at a time, if you can’t chuck the stuff! Long term freedom, is not for you.

How many healthy years do you have left?  You are now facing post half-time. It’s your call how you spend the last half.  So, take my advice and dump your stuff, to really begin to live.
